If you have purchased an online Priority or Basic Classified listing you can now add a business profile, images and upload a document to your information page on thomsonlocal.com to give potential customers more information about your business.
If you have not purchased any online Classified advertising, you can still view your print advertising online via the Advertising Reviewer. Please view Advertising Reviewer User Guide for more information.
Below is a step by step guide on how to access the Advertiser Centre and upload your information.
Logging onto the Advertiser Centre
1. To access the page you will need to click on the following link:
http://adcentre.thomsonlocal.com/ada/login.aspx
The following screen will then be displayed:

It is a good idea to save this login page to your favourites, the pages can be updated as often as you require, so this will save you time in the future.
2. You will then need to enter your customer number and business postcode which is displayed on your order confirmation letter or any invoice. If you cannot find your customer number please call our Customer Service Team on – 01252 555555.
Please also remember to read and understand the terms and conditions of usage and tick the box.
3. When you have entered the correct information, a welcome page will be displayed on your screen as shown below.

This page should show your business name and the first line of your address.
Updating your listing
1. Click on the blue box – ‘Add Profiles & Images - Click Here’.
This will take you through to a third page which allows you to select the areas and classified headings of the advertisements you wish to modify.

2. Once you have made your selection click on ‘Search’ and this will list the information you have requested in a box below. You now need to click on the blue underlined View/Modify and this will take you through the area where you are able to add more information about your business.
If you have multiple areas or classified headings, it is possible to select and update the listings on an individual basis, for example ‘Paul’ has purchased advertising for Roofing Services in the Farnborough and Builders in Basingstoke, the services he is offering for each side of the business differ and he can list the two separately showing a different profile for each listing.
3. The next page displayed is the area in which you add all of your business information, you can complete all or just some of the tabbed pages and it has been set up to be very user friendly and easy to follow. It is important that you preview and save each page after adding the information. You can amend the information as often as you require.

4. There are 5 tabbed sections and information regarding what can be added to each is below:
Profile text – Basic Classified customers can add up to 500 characters and Priority Classified customers can add up to 1000 characters (including spacing and punctuation) describing your business.
It is important to avoid using any unusual characters for example ^ & / \ + as these will confuse the tool and you will not be able to save your information. Please also ensure you do not download any information directly from another web site as this has encrypted information which will prevent the system from saving.
Promotional Text - Here you can add a title for a special offer and up to 180 characters explaining what your special deal or offer is.
For example ‘Discount for OAPs on Wednesdays’.
Images - Basic Classified customers can upload up to two images and Priority Classified customers can upload up to three images. Click upload image and select your picture from your computer. It will need to be a jpg and less than 1MB in size. It’s a good idea to give each of your images a caption just to act as a descriptive label.

Document – This is uploaded in the same way you would upload an image. Documents must be in PDF format and cannot be larger than 2MB in size.
Business features - You can tick the boxes for as many of these as are applicable. All those that have a tick next to them will then appear down the right hand side on your information page on thomsonlocal.com. You can then re-tick the five most important services (these will then turn red) and these will appear against your listing when it is displayed among other businesses on the search results page. Select these carefully as this is the first impression of your business when it is searched.

If you wish to add a new business feature which is not available on the Advertiser Centre, please submit your suggestion via the online form through the ‘Suggest a new feature under ….’ link circled in the above screenshot.
5. That’s it – all you need to do is save using the options at the bottom of the page.
You can save to all your listings or just the one you are currently working with.
You can change your content as many times as you wish and the changes will update on your information page within 30 minutes. It is a good idea to experiment to get your listing looking as professional as possible.
It is also a good idea to change the information you are displaying throughout the year and add seasonal offers. For example, a Pest Control company may want to advertise wasp eradication more heavily during the summer months. This way your customers are more likely to find the information they are looking for.
